Salon Equipment For Sale – Finding Great Deals

Checking out used salon equipment for sale can be an excellent and a cost effective way to start your own salon business. And the same goes for hair salon furniture. If you buy the entire range of equipment and furniture new from the stores, it will cost you a lot of money. But by checking around online you can find a lot of salon equipment that will work out great for your new business. Many people sell the stuff after initially operating from home before they start a family. Other salons close down for whatever reason and put all their equipment on the market.

Most of the time the hairdressing salon equipment is almost as good as new. And if you buy from a dealer who refurbishes the equipment it will be like new. And you will be saving a whole lot of money in the process. A quick Internet search will reveal more of this used equipment for sale than you would expect. And don’t forget to check your local listings in the newspaper as well.

Here’s a few examples we found while doing some searching. You may not find these exact same items, but they do give you a pretty good idea of the amount of money you will save if you just take the time to do some research.

We found a height adjustable white stool with chrome base for $40 and a steamer and white light or a magnifying glass for $160. A double wax pot could cost you $90 and a white pedicure stool could be available for $60. Professional and creative nail polish stands with more than 30 creative features can be picked up for $225 and if you want to buy a new set, it will set you back by nearly double the amount.

If you are lucky, you can easily pick all of them at a fabulous discount and end up paying not more than $750. If you are setting up several stations the savings will really add up. You can also see the pictures posted online since many of the used salon equipment sellers post them on the internet. And if you find some near you, that’s even better since you can check everything out in person.

If you are determined to buy new and have the financing available, look into buying packages rather than individual items. This will save you a lot of money as well. If your order is large, find a wholesaler. If it’s not too big, always look for seasonal sales and search for discount coupons as well. Lots of companies provide coupon codes on the internet. All you have to do is look for them.

Just make sure you are buying brand names you can trust. Read the reviews. Good equipment will be good even if used, and poorly constructed equipment will not get the job done even if it is new.

Finding salon equipment for sale is easy, but finding the right equipment at the right price does require a bit more work. But always remember that this is your business and treat it seriously. Don’t get more than you need. For instance if you think you may do nails and massage as well but aren’t sure, don’t get the necessary supplies right away. There’s always plenty of time to expand as you become more successful.

Work At Home On The Internet To Make Money In Less Than 10 Days

There are many different types of money making opportunities available on the Internet. While many of these opportunities are not legitimate, or can even been down right stupid, there are way to earn a real income from working online. One such opportunity is outsourcing. Outsourcing is a very simple concept. Real businesses located all over the world are looking for ways to save money while looking for employees. Some companies only need short-term projects completed. Other companies are looking for more long-term employment possibilities.

What makes them choose outsourcing over hiring someone to work in-house is the convenience of the provider, which is you. By allowing providers to work on a per-project basis, they are effectively saving money because they do not have to pay a full-time hourly wage to keep someone that may only be needed for a short period. While the pay is lower, you can still earn a great deal of income.

Call center agents are one type of outsourced opportunity that is offered by many customer service based agencies. By hiring someone to work as a call center agent from their home, they gain the ability to hire more people at less rates, and they do not have to pay for the building to house all the agents.

As an outsourced call center agent, you can be assigned to receive calls, make calls, or deal with online and email inquiries. Many businesses are also outsourcing call agent positions for verification of telemarketing sales. The type of activities that you will be required to do depends on the company and the project itself. Most outsourced call center positions involve answering incoming calls that are either directed to you, or you use their system. Other call center positions involve you calling people, either as customer service follow ups, or for sales. In either case, you can work the hours that best suit you, and from the comfort of your home.

Generally, to be an outsourced call center agent does not require many additional accessories. You should have a computer with Internet access, of course, and a headset that has a microphone. These are the most vital tools that you will need because it is what allows you to hear and talk to customers. You need to have good interpersonal skills as well as good communication. Without these, you will not be able to determine what is best for the customer that is calling. You need to have patience to make money work at home.

There will sometimes be customers that come off as a little frustrated or even angry. You should have the ability to relieve these feelings in your customer. They need reassurance that you are listening and that you understand.

If you have prior call center experience, either in-house or off site, make sure that you say so when you are applying for the position. This can be helpful in the decision to hire you. Since there is no in-person interview, these companies have no idea what to expect. They are essentially going in blind. The same applies to you. Get some information about the company. Find out what they do and where they are located.

Keep in mind that you will need a quiet place when you are working. Not only does extra background noise show a lack of professionalism, but most companies will either record your calls or listen in periodically to ensure that you are doing the job right.

Outsourced call center positions are fairly easy. It can give you a substantial income, or merely a supplemental income. It depends on the pay rate and the hours that you work. Obviously, if you work more hours.

Work Performance Improvement and the Performance Improvement Plan

Productivity improvement is essential to all organizations. Picture yourself entering a corporate meeting, team meeting, or business meeting. There you are sitting in the room, while someone in the “expert or “boss chair speaks to you or at you. There you are, not aligned with that person’s mission or vision. There you are, feeling apart from the process. There you are, lacking energy and the desire for being there. There you are, hearing what is going wrong and what you or your team or department needs to change or improve. How are you feeling?

Are you feeling a great connection to the meeting? Are you feeling enthusiastic about being in attendance at the meeting? Are you fully present at the meeting? Are you deeply tuned in and listening with your heart and your head? Are you inspired to co-create, participate, and contribute? Or, are you ready to fall asleep, or count the minutes of what you feel is wasted time?

Organization improvement is something that occurs as the result of consistent, focused improvement. My experience in my two plus decades of being in business and in coaching business clients around the world is that the system of meetings, clearly, must change. Most meetings don’t include participant involvement and actually serve to tune people out rather than tune them in, and as a result, the intention of the meeting falls short of its purpose. In other words, they really can be a waste of precious company time.

The process of Meeting Alignment, that we’ve been teaching companies around the world, has allowed them to use a systematic process that engages people in meetings and creates a desire for them to contribute and fully participate in these business meetings.

The Meeting Alignment Process and the results it creates include:

A desire to co-create: The purpose of a meeting isn’t to get across “your agenda; it shifts to sharing your thoughts and hearing fully the thoughts and ideas of others to co-create the meeting purpose and actions.

Deep tuning in: Most meetings involve people talking and listening to themselves. The Meeting Alignment Process teaches people to fully listen with their hearts and to listen beyond the words to what is not said, to emotions, and to fully hear others.

The Meeting Alignment Process teaches techniques of being non-judgmental, so that people can fully hear and support each other and let new ideas IN vs. rule out and defend against why things won’t work. It produces a safe environment in which people feel encouraged to participate.

Non-attachment: Many people think meetings are about a specific outcome occurring – the meeting holder’s outcome… that’s a surefire way to alienate people and result in them NOT wanting to support you. The Meeting Alignment Process allows for each person to give up “their outcome and allows the meeting and solutions to unfold for the good of the entire group.

What’s wrong: Most meetings focus on problems, fixing problems, or informing people of change. The meeting needs to come from a place of asking what IS working and involve what IS the right type questions. These questions form the basis of creating a positive energy flow and opening up creativity. It’s the basic principle of encouraging a sense of positivity rather than negativity.

Framework of questions: Questions in this process focus on what is working, why it works, what would be the perfect ideal vision, and what isn’t quite right yet, and then, coming up with resources and inspired actions to create the outcome of the meeting.

Feel good! When people attend a meeting where EVERY idea is praised and contributions rewarded and people thanked and really appreciated for their contributions, this raises self-esteem, confidence, and morale. People want to participate in meetings that make them feel good, not only about the company they work for, but about themselves and their role in it.

Work performance improvement hinges on accomplishing this. This process is effective in all companies and will work with all size groups. It requires a shift in the employer and leaders’ thinking, from managing and bossing and telling to coaching and co-creating and sharing. The effect is profound. People treated with value and respect, rise up to challenges. They are more excited to solve problems, participate in the mission and vision of the company, and create more productivity. They feel that the company’s success is their success. It motivates them to greater achievement.

Companies following a systematic process of creating a Meeting Alignment Process, take morale out of the toilet bowl fast. Their employees are happier, their retention rates rise, and the corporate culture shifts to one of enthusiasm.

A beneficial win-win situation is created and everybody gets to bask in success.

Outsourcing your SEO and Link Building to Ensure Success

These days every business needs a website and they want their website to show on the first page of Google. Good SEO is essential if you want to be found by the major search engines such as Google and Yahoo. And one way to achieve this is trying outsourcing SEO and link building projects to an expert.

A lot of companies’ hire the services of a web outsource company to design and build a new website. These companies will often have in-house SEO specialists who can work with you and determine the best way to optimise your site.

Another option would be to hire a freelance technical writer who has proven experience in completing outsourcing SEO and link building projects.

But before you decide which route to take you need to do a comprehensive project planning exercise. This will define the parameters of the project and is the foundation to success.

Why you should spend time on Project Planning

By taking the time to draw up a comprehensive road map you will be able to:

  • Identify the goals and objectives of your project
  • Define your deliverables
  • Create a work schedule that includes fixed timelines and task allocation
  • Plan your resources, for example will you hire a freelancer to do your SEO work or will you find a web outsource company for outsourcing SEO and link building projects to.
  • Set up communication channels – not only do you want to be kept abreast of developments, if you’re using outsourcing SEO to a freelancer, the freelancer and the web company must communicate regularly.
  • Consider and plan for circumstances that might slow down or worse still bring the project to an abrupt end and devise solutions Once your road map is in place, you can then move on to the next equally important stage; project management.

Benefits of Project Management

Project management is the art of planning, organizing and managing your resources in order to successfully complete the project goals and objectives.
A successful project manager has to be a good communicator. When outsourcing SEO and link building projects, it’s vital to remember that your chosen provider is not a mind reader. You have to be able to explain exactly what you want to achieve and the market you want to target. If you undertook the Project Planning stage, you have this information to hand already.

Before you hire an SEO expert, check their credentials by asking for examples of previous outsourcing SEO and link building work. Have they worked on a similar project? Does the site rank highly with the search engines? Is the provider proactive when it comes to offering suggestions?

Regardless of the project, there needs to be continual communication between all the parties concerned if it is going to be successful. You need to be prepared to give feedback every step of the way and if you are dissatisfied with the progress, provide constructive criticism so that the provider knows exactly what the problem is and how to solve it.

Excellent project planning, project management and communication skills are vital to the success of your outsourcing SEO and link building project. If you don’t devote time to these 3 elements, your project may very well not succeed.

How Do You Manage Your Time

Whenever we are in the market for groceries we rarely have the opportunity to forget our option of choosing paper or plastic bags. Statistically speaking, plastic seems to be winning the toss most of the time. It seems plastic is the choice that is offered and most of us take that option. And who ever remembers to carry in the green cloth bag every visit?

So what is the connection to time management? Well, actually nothing. But there is an analogy that seems to reveal that even when the going gets tough economically speaking, we still have the ability to make our own choices. What others like may not be a good match for what works for you. A good example is procrastination, expecially when the project is something unpleasant, like paying traffic tickets. (although the best advice is dont pay traffic tickets but to check with a traffic ticket lawyer)

When looking at the range of tools provided by new technologies we have choices galore. The range of paper calendars from wall calendars to those for your desk or fancy planners and such are mainly the choice of thousands. The bottom line seems to be that what matches your needs and taste is going to be the winner every time.

In the matter of scheduling your time to achieve the maximum level of production, you have loads of options to choose. Naturally you’ll want to think about how you work best and what feels like the perfect match for the real you. You want something this a complement to your personal working style, but a system that allows for peak performance and production.

And the key is to maintain a focus on limiting distractions. For example, you may be a morning person and whiz along from project to project at warp speed. Or your prime time for optimum productivity may come later in the evening when everything quiets down. You will definitely want to tune into what works best for your style and temperament and plan your work to match your prime time.

Why not approach the issue of time management scientifically or logically if you prefer. Try a coworkers methods or your spouse or best friends work strategy. And do not be afraid to think completely out of the box with your choices. Walking the path less travelled so to speak can actually prove to be more fun and lots more productive in the long run.

Workplace Productivity through Productivity Training

Workplace productivity is a major concern for most businesses. All in all, I’m pretty happy with how 2009 turned out. My business is taking off. I’ve built a solid foundation to support even more growth (which I forecast for 2010) and I’ve even managed to take some time off. I’d like other entrepreneurs and business owners to feel as good about their business as I do about mine, so I thought I’d take a moment to share 5 things I attribute to my successful 2009.

1. Attended seminars. This one is HUGE. Nothing beats getting out of your office and away from your computer and actually meeting people face to face. I’ve come away from these events with clients, joint venture partners, and more. (And that doesn’t even include the great information I absorbed and was able to put to use in both my business and my clients’ businesses.) If you only put one of my 5 tips to use, this would be the one to do — that’s how valuable I’ve discovered attending seminars to be and it can really impact productivity.

2. Hired a coach. Again, this was another tough decision to make, but I’m really glad I did. It’s difficult to see your business objectively, so having a neutral observer on your team is extremely valuable. Coaches help you get out of your own way (and believe me, that’s a biggie for us entrepreneurs.) They can help you with both your inner game (your habits and mindset) and your outer game (your skills and business structure).

3. Started systemizing my business. Unless you want to be chained to your business night and day, you have got to start systemizing your business. Yes, all businesses should have systems in place, even if you don’t have anyone else working for you and you primarily sell services. The best part is when you do have systems in place, your business suddenly starts running a lot more efficiently and effectively (and you can start sleeping better at night and relaxing on vacation).

4. Outsourced. For all you control freaks out there, this one is for you. If you don’t start hiring some help, I guarantee you’ll never be able to grow your business through productivity training because you’ll be constantly doing tasks you have no business doing. Do yourself a favor and get some help…NOW. I’ve just hired a project manager/director of client services, plus I have 2 backup writers and 2 virtual assistants. Building a team has been a big stress reliever for me.

5. Focused on my inner game. Shifting my mindset away from “freelancer” to “business owner” was another big piece of the puzzle. As soon as I made that shift, all the other four techniques fell into place because it suddenly made them easier to do.

It’s tough to change your inner game on your own — hiring a coach is probably the fastest way to do this. But there are some good resources out there if you want to begin dabbling in it first. Do a search and see what comes up, I started my journey with free ezines and articles.

Creativity Exercise — Make 2010 the best year ever.

Go back and reread my list. Now get out a piece of paper and start brainstorming ways you can integrate my tips into your business. Which one do you think will bring the quickest results? Which one will be more difficult for you to start doing? Which is the one you SHOULD be doing?

Have fun with this exercise, really play around and see what comes up. Don’t censor yourself, just write down the answers that bubble up even if it doesn’t seem right. You might discover something important about yourself and your business that might be the key to launching you forward faster than you ever dreamed possible.

Why Not Opt for an Outsource Programmer

Instead of maintaining a large and costly IT department, many SMEs now utilise the services of an outsource programmer. In fact it’s not just small and medium sized enterprises that select this option. Even some of the business giants have discovered the benefits of using outsource programmers for web development and software development.

Advances in technology have made it feasible for a wide range of functions to be outsourced to foreign countries where the cost of labour is much cheaper than at home. India has become the main centre for outsource IT staffing companies but if you take a look on the Internet you’ll be able to find independent outsource programmers in virtually every country worldwide.

Before you start looking for an outsource programmer you should define exactly what it is you want to achieve. This is known as project planning and it’s a vital element in the success of any project whether it is carried out in house or externally. Consider all of the following:-

  • Project goals and objectives
  • Budget
  • Provisional timelines
  • Risk management
  • Communication channels

Once you’ve armed yourself with this information you can start looking for the ideal freelancer to complete your project. But as we mentioned earlier there are tens of thousands of highly qualified outsource programmers, how do you find the right one?

How do I decide who to hire?

Outsource programmers tend to specialise in certain types of programming. One programmer may be an expert in e-commerce applications whilst another may specialise in call center software. Yet another might be an expert at integrating audio and multimedia in their software development. A good way to discover who is most suitable is to check their online portfolio. Here you can see examples of previous projects the freelancer has worked on. If they look similar to your requirements, you can then negotiate a price and timeline.

Of course budget is going to be an important consideration but don’t automatically opt for the cheapest option. You get what you pay for and if you skimp it will probably end up costing more in the long run.

How do I manage an outsource programmer?

This is a very important question and requires the art of project management. You’ll want regular progress reports and you need to be able to see each stage of the project to make sure it is in fact fitting your requirements. The ability to iron out problems quickly will increase the likelihood of the project meeting its deadline.
It’s therefore vital that you set up a timetable for communication with your outsource programmer. Whilst you probably won’t be looking for a daily report, a weekly progress meeting should be scheduled. One possibility would be for the outsource programmer to send you the progress report at close of business Friday and then you both have a video conference meeting first thing Monday. That way you have had time to review the progress to date and you will be in a position to point out any amendments/additions etc that need to be worked on.

The way that you communicate any problems you have encountered, or any amendments that you require, is of vital importance if you want a harmonious working relationship with your freelance programmer. Clarity of expression and constructive criticism are both essential to ensure complete understanding on behalf of the outsource programmer.

If you have skills in project planning, project management and communication you are well on the way to successfully outsource your programming.

What are the Most Profitable Methods to Market Your Online Business?

All internet marketing is meant to do one of two things (or both): sell your product/service or get your visitor to give you his information so you can contact him later. It is said often enough, especially by people selling online marketing programs, that you can make lots of money fast with internet marketing. More impressive still, you can make this money with little work or effort, with the whole business running on auto-pilot. This might make you wonder if online marketing is really this simple. Is it true, or is all of this hype and exaggeration? If you are ready to hear the truth, there is a catch: if you want to succeed at internet marketing, you must be willing to put in some real time, dedication and study. With all the hype out there, people often believe they can simply put up a quick website and start making thousands of dollars right away. But they don’t realize that this is a real business. All businesses involve products or services, customers and money; internet marketing is no exception. Anyone who starts off hoping to become an overnight online marketing guru is going to be very disappointed when reality hits them. Online marketing does indeed represent a great opportunity to start off small and create an incredibly successful business. Yet most people remain ignorant of how this is actually done. You may not think of online giants such as Google as internet marketers, but that’s what they are! What do they do –they sell ads and millions of people use them to sell whatever they are offering. When you look at it this way, you can see how large a business this really is. It’s just a matter of implementing the right strategies and being willing to take a few risks. One of the first things you need to succeed online is targeted website traffic, so we will start looking at some ways to get this. These are the very same ways I drive traffic to 9 to 5 Annihilation and other offers I promote on my websites.

No doubts – using articles to generate targeted traffic to your site is extremely popular and costs nothing. It sounds simple and in practice it’s very effective. Article marketing has proven itself for reliability and effectiveness for generating traffic. You can attract more traffic and build trust among your readers with well-written articles containing useful content. Article marketing is so effective, when done right, because you’ll get traffic from multiple sources – article directories and website that publish your article. Apart from this when your article spreads around the Internet, it gets you backlinks that help you rank better in the search engines. I use article marketing myself to get top rankings in search engines for keywords like List Profit Method and Mass Control. These are product names and I try to rank for them, because they are the best converting ones. Imagine creating more targeted traffic, your own branding, and displaying your expert knowledge. You can do that with proper article marketing.

Social marketing is another strategy that’s growing at an incredible pace. In this kind of marketing, all you’re doing is using social media sites to drive traffic to your sites at no cost. That sounds really easy. Yes? Yes, it’s very simple! Search engines love social sites. So you’ll be able to easily rank by using them. You’ll enjoy very targeted traffic, and your conversions will be quite good. Especially when you are promoting automated forex robots like Stealpips, because there is no human on Earth who wouldn’t like to make money automatically.

There is no reason why you can’t build a great internet business; just stick with effective and ethical tactics, and be willing to put in some effort, especially as you are starting out.

Would Call Centre Outsource work for your Business

Are you one of those who gets frustrated when you call your bank’s customer support desk and find you’re speaking to somebody in a call center in a different country? Long gone are the days when you could phone your local bank and chat to a member of staff who knows you and your financial circumstances personally.

Call center outsourcing has become increasingly popular as businesses tap into the wealth of English speaking talent available in countries such as India and the Philippines. With the cost of labour being much cheaper in developing countries, both large and small institutions alike see call centre outsource as a logical way to save money.

What common functions do companies outsource?

  • Customer service
  • Administrative support
  • Sales
  • Software support
  • Credit control
  • Information systems

All of these can be successfully outsourced with careful planning.

How do you set up a call center outsource project?

There are 3 essential elements to a successful call centre outsource project; project planning, project management and excellent two-way communication.
Project planning is the art of identifying your goals and objectives; what exactly do you hope to achieve by using the services of a call centre outsource company. How large a resource will you need and how will you monitor results? What are the technical requirements necessary to make the project a success? These are important questions that need to be answered before you even begin to look for an outsourcing company.

Another important aspect, that is often overlooked, is the difference in culture between your country and that of the outsource nation. You know the way you want calls to be handled but is that the way it will actually happen? Will the call center service provider be able to deal with irate customers to your satisfaction? Will you need to implement training sessions on your products and methods?

Once you’ve identified exactly what is required, you are in a position to advertise the project and receive bids from call centre outsource services. At this stage you’ll probably receive a lot of bids from companies that do not meet your qualifications, labour and technology requirements. But armed your project planning road map, you can quickly weed out the unsuitable companies and end up with a short list of maybe 2 or 3 possible services.

The next thing to consider is the project management. You will want to have overall control but the day-to-day running of the operation is going to be carried out by the outsourcing company. The project management stage involves the planning and management of the available resources in order to satisfy your expectations.
During this stage, excellent communication skills are vital. You need to be able to express your needs in a clear and precise way. If you’re speaking to your call centre outsourcer, remember to back up verbal communication in writing. And always remember that you are dealing with people who may interpret your meaning in a different way. Invite and ask questions to ensure that both parties know exactly what is required of them.

Call centres frequently work on the basis of set targets. For example each operator needs to take ‘x’ incoming calls per day or make ‘y’ amount of sales per week.

Good project management will help you determine if the call centre outsource company is achieving the desired results and accomplishing your goals. This can be carried out through customer satisfaction surveys or random follow up calls.

Regardless of your business, good project planning, project management and excellent two way communication are essential. Without these 3 vital elements your project is not going to be the success that you want it to be.
